A room diary that lived in a spreadsheet
For years, the room diary lived in an Excel spreadsheet. Any booking, change, or cancellation meant an email or a phone call to Kirsten, the clinical lead. With twenty-five counsellors coming and going, many of them volunteers or trainees who needed guidance from the start, that added up.

Beyond Counselling loaded their rooms, added their members, and began populating the diary with existing bookings. Rather than switching everyone over at once, they rolled the app out to their counsellors in small batches over three or four days, letting people find their feet before the next group came on board.
