Resources
Resources
- What it does
- The things people book: halls, rooms, desks, bays, the kitchen. Each one has its own row in the diary and can only be booked by one person at a time. Deactivating one hides it from the booking screen and keeps its history.
- Default
- Whatever you added in the setup wizard.
- For
- Every venue needs at least one.
- For example
- A therapy practice. Room one, room two, the group room.
- A village hall. Main hall, committee room, kitchen, car park.
- A co-working hub. Twenty desks, two meeting rooms, a podcast booth.
Add several alike
- What it does
- Add a numbered run of identical things in one go. Type the shared name and how many, and I number them from the next free number. Several with the same name fold into one row on this page.
- Default
- Numbering carries on from the highest number you already have.
- For
- Desks, bays, pitches: identical things that get numbered.
- Leave it alone if
- Your rooms all have their own names.
- For example
- A village hall. Bay one to bay eight for the car park.
- A co-working hub. Desk one to desk fifteen in one go.
Resource tags
- What it does
- Labels for what a room has, such as a projector or step-free access. They show beside the room when someone chooses where to book. Nothing else changes.
- Default
- None.
- For
- Venues where the rooms differ in ways a booker needs to know.
- Leave it alone if
- Everyone already knows the rooms.
- For example
- A therapy practice. Couples room, treatment table.
- A village hall. Hearing loop, sprung floor, step-free access.
- A co-working hub. Standing desk, two screens, quiet zone.
Extras
Extras
- What it does
- Things people can add to a booking, like a projector or refreshments. Give an extra a quantity and I stop two bookings claiming the same one at the same time, on every plan. Extras go on single bookings, not on a repeating series.
- Default
- None.
- For
- Venues that lend out kit with a room, like a projector, a tea urn or a PA system.
- Leave it alone if
- Nothing you lend out is ever in short supply.
- For example
- A therapy practice. A white noise machine a therapist takes into a session.
- A village hall. One projector, so two groups never both think they have it on a Saturday.
- A co-working hub. Portable screens, booked with a desk for the day.
Prices on extras
- What it does
- A flat price on an extra, added to the booking it goes on. It is charged once per booking, whatever the length, and goes on the member's statement. On Free and Diary an extra has no price and nothing is charged for it.
- Default
- No price.
- For
- Venues that charge for the kit they lend out.
- Part of
- Diary & Billing
- Leave it alone if
- The kit comes free with the room.
- For example
- A village hall. The projector is a flat amount on top of the hall hire.
- A co-working hub. Tea and coffee for a meeting, charged per cup on the statement.
